How is my location used for "near me" searches? Is it saved?
We only ask for your device's location when you tap to use it, and it is used to show businesses and events near you. That exact location stays in your browser and is not saved to your account. Without it, we use a rough area from your connection, or the neighborhood you pick; if you're signed in, a neighborhood you pick is saved to your account so it follows you to other devices. When you pick a neighborhood, we count that pick (with your account if you're signed in) to understand which areas people look at.
